Further research about 'Aquired Brain Injury.'
First focus point was mainly done inbetween activities of the other two focus points. Additional Scientific Papers about pervasive health care and rehabilitation techniques have been found and read. We agreed that further research into this area first should be done when we have narrowed down our subject as a result of visits to rehabilitation centres.
Making contact to rehabilitation centres which we would like to visit regarding data gathering.
We have today contacted two rehabilitation centres: 'Bo- og genoptræningscenter Lunden' in Varde and 'Stefanshjemmet' in Aarhus C. We have already been allowed to visit Lunden which we plan to do in the beginning of next week. Stefanshjemmet has been contacted by phone. Their headmaster is currently on vacation so we were asked to call again after the easter holiday. The coworker with which we spoke was however positively minded towards us making them a visit.
An e-mail with outlines for our expectations as well as formal data for the visit at Lunden has been sent. We were further encouraged to contact a resident at Lunden directly via e-mail. His name is Bjarne Thomsen. He is paralyzed from the next and downwards but is able to communicate through a computer which he controls with his eyes. If we email questions for an interview before our visit he is willing to be interviewed about the life as a brain injured person. The awesome thing about interviewing Bjarne is the fact that he is cognitively 100% functional.
Outlines for interviews, observations, and questionaires.
Outlines for data gathering has been made. These outlines has to be transformed into the interviews, observations techniques and eventually questionaries which we would like use during our visit at Lunden and hopefully at Stefanshjemmet.
The productivity has been great in the group today. We are meeting monday again, hopefully fully rested and full of energy to work on our project after a well desevered easter holiday.

So awesome that you are using your network to get a sense of the area you're focusing on. Also good that you are doing research/reading articles, maybe you could link to some of them here for future reference and also in order to help other groups within the same area as you...
SvarSletKeep in mind that you must have a physical, functioning prototype as well as a web-part and a business part.
It's great that you have scheduled some visits, remember that when you arrive you must have a plan and a clear goal of what you wish to achieve - especially which kind of information or which areas you would like to know more about.
So far so good, it's seems like you've chosen an interesting focus and you are working hard, keep it up!
